Trouble getting an entry at BRCA Formula Finals

Trouble getting an entry at BRCA Formula Finals

So I wanted to run at the Formula Finals at Mendip, so I entered on the BRCA website. But this morning I got an email:

Hello Alistair,

BRCA 1/10 Off-Road Formula Championships at Mendip.

Yesterday evening, we received an entry from yourself for the above event for the 2WD Class.

I have to inform you that entry to this event has to be done through your Regional Representative, which is Stuart Ball for the South West.

Each Region is allowed to nominate a certain number of entries for each of the Licence Grades, which is why entries have to be submitted by the Regional officers.

We are not sure how you managed to enter this event on-line, as the system should have required an ‘entry code’, which can only be supplied by your Regional officer.  I guess the BRCA online system may have a ‘bug’ that has allowed an entry without the code.

However, the 2WD event is currently full and we have already started a Reserve List.

I will add you to the Reserve List for 2WD and will contact you if a place becomes available.

If you do not get a place, your entry fee will be refunded.

Best regards,

Paul Worsley

BRCA 1/10 Off-Road Section – Treasurer & National Entries.

So I guess you’ve got to read the small print, and be on the radar of your regional officer.
