Friends of Al..

A brilliant, reliable, friendly, helpful, old school, Racing Model Shop. John really puts a massive effort into supporting local racers in the South West. Highly Recommended. My first stop for spares and RC Racing Gear.

At Long Ashton Community every (or nearly every) Friday Night, Trucks, Minis and a rookie class for beginners. If you haven’t raced RC before, this is where you start.

Schumacher were my choice of Buggy Manufacturer since the 1980’s. I moved to Associated a few years ago. But they are nonetheless an importer and distributor of a lot of fine brands and items. If John at RC Octane hasn’t got what I need, this is just about the only other place I go for bits.

Phat Bodies, Great Range of Saloon, Frontie and Onroad Bodyshells.

A great new purpose built track in Swindon. Very high grip due to the no expense spared investment in new Astro Turf. Well worth a visit

Gavin and Rebecca’s excellent You Tube Channel. Gavin is a proper RC Enthusiast who regularly releasing interesting RC Content. Also the original Home of my Schumacher Mission FT

Mendip (Near Weston-Super-Mare) is one of the oldest and most popular RC Clubs in the country. Originally known for its Asphalt on road circuit catering mostly for Fuel Driven cars, it now also caters for 1/10th off road buggies like I race, and Off Road Truggies.

The silly buggers elected me Chairman of this club. What were they thinking?

Having struggled with the Cougar LD2, a few years ago I switched to Team Associated Buggies. Having had three no, I’m a total convert to the marque.

I’m very lucky to have two of the best run clubs and challenging off road tracks on my doorstep. Tiverton is the other of my main summer haunts for 1/10th Off road racing.
