An absolutely flawless sky was about all day, Perfect for a spot of Buggy racing up at the fantastic Swindon club.
Bungled the start of Round 1 because I was faffing about with tyres, doh!

Guess that’s the drop score then! Round 2, was a better effort. On reflection, Silver Mini Spike or Green Ballistics might be the better tyre in the dewey mornings, but at this point, clean rounds were more important than outright pace.

Round three just had to be clean. Still no game because I was on the wrong tyre, but good enough to scrape into the B Final.

Leg 1 of the final was much more like it. Put the car on Yellow Mezzos and Splinters, and shifted the battery forward, slightly wider hexes and lowered the inner rear camber links, which all helped. Kept my nose clean at the start, to get the jump to 2nd. Manged to hold on to 4th amongst better handling cars.

Leg 2 was a carbuncle. The track had dried an awful lot since the previous leg, And that meant the the rear in particular was way too soft, underdamped, and way too high. Grip roll city. That said, one of the things I love about the B7, is that it’s very easy to figure out what’s wrong.
Between legs 2 and 3, I got the spare rear shocks that I had set for Cardiff carpet out, And they were the ideal fix. As soon as I got out on track, it was obvious that i’d found the right combination, and everything was tight and consistent. Closed out the day with a quite pleasing full send, tidy 3rd. BOSTIN!

5th after starting 8th, I’ll take that!
